| The Dwight Fire Protection District and the Romeoville Fire Academy are pleased to announce the upcoming Engine Company Operations Course that will take place on June 9-11 in Dwight.
This three-day skills course will instruct students on how to function more efficiently as an engine company. The course will cover the engine company philosophy and their roll at working fires, as well as other emergencies. With a good balance of classroom and hands-on time, including live-fire evolutions, students will review topics such as engine company size up, company roles and assignments, hose loads and hose pulling evolutions, tactics and strategy, and much more!
This course will be held in Dwight, IL at the former correctional facility which will provide an outstanding training environment in a unique acquired structure.
This course is not available for certification through the OSFM.
