IFSI Instructors were at Dwight FPD teaching the classroom portion of the FSVO program. The Fire Service Vehicle Operator course is designed for Firefighters or Engineers who are assigned, or may be assigned, to operate fire department apparatus safely in the normal course of their duties. This course is also designed for Officers who are responsible for the administration of vehicle operations. This course covers common driving hazards, vehicle maintenance and inspections, and driver’s training. This course, when combined with an AHJ provided driving portion, lets the student complete OSFM certification.
