Live fire training has started for the 2022 Chief Shabbona Fire Academy. Cadets have started training under live fire conditions at the old Dwight Correction center. Cadets train on search & rescue, hose line advancement and ventilation. The live fire training is to last approximately one month and end in June with Cadets taking the state test. Cadets are from the Morris, Coal City, Rockdale, Braceville, & Dwight fire departments.
