Dwight Fire Protection District’s Fill the Boot fundraiser is Saturday.
Dwight Fire Protection District is kicking off its annual Fill The Boot fundraiser for new extrication tools which are a combination of spreaders and cutters (E-combo tool). The goal is to raise $12,000 from the fill the boot and other fundraising opportunities.
Saturday morning Dwight Firefighters will ask a favor of people driving through the intersection of 17 and 47 from 7am to noon: fill their boots. Each year firefighters go out into the streets with a boot and ask residents to donate to the fire association fundraiser. This year’s fundraiser will be on Saturday, September 2nd.
The reason we fill the boot is to provide support to our firefighters to help fund new trucks, equipment, or educational programs on fire safety.
Dwight firefighters will collect money at the intersection of Rt 17 and 47 from 7am to noon on September 2nd.
