The Dwight Fire Protection District will be hosting an Instructor 1 Course in partnership with the Romeoville Fire Academy in March of 2017. The course is set up in a 4 day weekend format.

Instructor I is the base course for any student aspiring to be an instructor in the fire service, whether it be instructing drills at their home department or as an assistant instructor in OSFM certification programs. This course encompasses concepts in fire service instructional activities, NFPA instructor professional qualifications, instructor terminology, positive and negative teaching methods, laws and policies affecting training programs, OSFM training forms, and much more! It is a course no instructor should be without!
