On July 15th 2016, Futures Unlimited at 401 W. Waupansie St. in Dwight was raising funds to purchase portable canopies to shade their workers from the sun. The Dwight Fire Protection District members went there with the intention of helping wash cars. There were no cars at the time, so they asked if they could wash the fire engine. Our members helped them with washing and drying the engine. Several of their workers enjoyed checking out the inside of the fire engine as well. The members of our fire department really appreciate meeting the people that make up our community, and we enjoy helping out wherever we can.
