Nineteen students from Dwight, Pontiac, Chenoa, and Odell Fire Departments' graduated from the Dwight Fire Protection District's Basic Operation Firefighter's Academy on July 8th 2016. The Dwight Fire Protection District's academy included extensive classroom instruction along with numerous practical evolutions including, vehicle extrication, hazardous materials operations, fire service vehicle operator, and live fire exercises. The members of these departments put in a lot of hours and hard work to complete these courses. We applaud the students on a job well done. We look forward to working with these students in the future, and continuing their education through classes and on the job training experiences. We would like to thank the instructors for the hours that they spent training the students, and sharing their experience and knowledge.
