Fire Prevention Bureau
The Fire Prevention Bureau of the Dwight Fire Department is responsible for three primary areas within the community; fire prevention, public education and community relations. The basic core of the FPB operates using the 3 E’s; Education, Engineering, and Enforcement. The FPB routinely visits schools to instruct life and property saving criteria to children from pre-kindergarten age through 12th grade. In addition, the FPB is responsible for implementing the course “Introduction to the Fire Service”, which is geared primarily towards high school students. The Bureau is also involved with a variety of courses and activities to the public that pertain to the fire service, fire prevention, vehicle safety, and much more. It requires the cooperation of the public and the fire services to make the efforts of the Dwight Fire Prevention Bureau a success. We further look forward to a long and mutually beneficial relationship.
