Dwight Fire Protection District just recently had the annual member appreciation dinner. There was delicious food at the local Cherry Red Roasters. Firefighters, EMS, Police, and Trustees were invited to spend time together to reflect on the past year. There were awards given out to some of the members, Award of Valor, Unit Citation, Probationary firefighter of the year, Firefighter of the year, Officer of the year, Most improved firefighter, Call attendance, Training excellence, Boots Award, Fire Chief's Award, Years of service (5 to 15 years), and Fire Chief of the generation are the awards given out.
Dwight Fire Protection District is very proud of all of its members, and having an annual dinner is to show the appreciation that we truly have. Our people take time out of their family and work life to be there and help out whenever the tones go out, or behind the scenes that keep this department running.
