Fire Appreciation Awards Dinner

On Friday March 17, 2017 the Dwight Fire Protection District held their annual Fire Appreciation Awards Dinner at Cherry Red Roasters. Our special guest for the evening was Department Bookkeeper Marcia Drach. She received the Chief's Award for all her countless hours spent providing the Fire Chief with prompt and accurate clerical services including managing of department records and maintaining the financial records.
Trustees Gary Marx, Eric Stewart, and Rod Kodat received Certificates of Appreciation along with Photographer Johna Bradley.
The Chief's Award went to Deputy Chief Justin Dyer, LT Steve Bradley, and LT Nathan DeMarse.
Most Training Certificate was awarded to LT Cory Scoles.
Most Calls Certificate was awarded to FF/EMT Jaron Scheid.
Probationary Firefighter of the Year was awarded to Firefighter Kevin Stapleton
Firefighter of the Year was awarded to Firefighter Daniel Villalejo
Officer of the Year was presented to Cpt. Craig Cousins
Most Improved Performance was awarded to Firefighter Frank Dizonno as well as Firefighter Charles Ealy.
The Steven "Boots" Riccolo Award was presented to Chief Engineer Nathan Woodin as well as LT Cory Scoles.
Several Firefighters were recognized for their numerous training certificates that they earned throughout the year.
