Dwight Fire Department was dispatched for the report of smoke in a residential home on Spencer Street

The Dwight Fire Department was dispatched this afternoon for the report of smoke in a residential home on Spencer Street.
Upon arrival, fire crews found heavy fire in the home and it had spread throughout the attic area.
Fire crews made an aggressive fire attack containing the fire to the building of origin.
Dwight Fire Deputy Chief Justin Dyer said the home suffered extensive damage and will most likely be a total loss estimated at $200,000.
No civilian or firefighter injuries were reported.
Several fire agencies provided mutual aid support throughout the incident.
The fire is being investigated by MABAS division 15 investigators, but no foul play is suspected at this time.
