The Dwight Fire Protection District would like to thank the Dwight Economic Alliance Board, Max Sulzberger, Rodney Connor, Bob Ohlendorf, Bill Flott, Kevin McNamara, Gib Nielsen, Sherrie Rhodes, Shayla Samples, John Salzer, Destiny Connor, Deb Karch & Jane Anderson, Auctioneer Larry Little, and the citizens of Dwight and surrounding communities for selecting the Dwight Fire Protection District as the 2019 Fund A Need charity recipient for the annual DEA Auction held on February 23.

The DEA Fund-A-Need auction brought in a staggering $20,000 on the night of the event. In addition, GROWMARK and Prairie Central Coop each donated an additional $5,000 to the Fund-A-Need after the auction was completed. The total amount of donations collected ended up being $30,000.

Our mission is to be a community asset and bring value to Dwight by providing excellent fire protection, medical and rescue assistance, and community risk reduction . Your contribution, and the contributions from others like you, go a long way in helping us fulfill that mission. The donations that were collected were used to purchase the strongest, most technologically advanced, and safest extrication tools available. These rescue tools have been placed on all of our front-line fire apparatus. We were able to purchase three battery powered rescue tools with the funding.

As a donor to the Fund A Need charity and our organization, you’re a part of something really special—you’re a part of our community, and you make everything we do possible.
