On Monday night members of the Dwight Fire Protection District discussed the importance of a proper rural water supply set up. Proper Porta-tank set up and placement was reviewed and practiced. Drafting procedures, as well as flow rates, were examined, firefighters learned how to siphon water between tanks and finally, the group discussed the importance of a properly timed tender operation.
A special thank you Jim Christensen, Kylie Gallup, and Chris Ramirez for allowing the Dwight Fire Protection District the use of the property to draft and set up the porta-tank.
